NJ CE Requirements:
12 CE credit hours per 2-year cycle (current: 7/1/25 – 6/30/27)
| According to current NJREC Statutes and Rules, 12 hours of CE coursework must be completed including: |
| 1 hour – FAIR HOUSING & NJ LAW AGAINST DISCRIMINATION 2 hours – ETHICS 1 hour – AGENCY 3 hours – CORE 6 hours – ELECTIVES: A mix, or all of the same of any of the following four CE types: ELECTIVES or ETHICS or CORE or FAIR HOUSING or AGENCY |
| Important Note: ETHICS IS an acceptable substitute for CORE and ELECTIVES, but CORE and ELECTIVES IS NOT an acceptable substitute for ETHICS.ETHICS, FAIR HOUSING and CORE ARE acceptable to use instead of ELECTIVES.All Referral Agents changing licensing types are required to complete the CE all in CORE or ETHIC topics ONLY. |
*Exemptions*
- New licensees licensed on or after 7/1/26 are exempt for this cycle.
- Referral agents are not required to complete CE to renew.
- Licensees who completed the 90-Hour NJ Broker General Course have fulfilled the CE requirements for that licensing cycle.
